Brief History of the Plan
In 1962, the Canadian Brotherhood of Teamsters and the Motor Transport Industrial Relations Bureau of Ontario created the Teamsters and Motor Transport Industrial Relations Bureau of Ontario Pension Plan. The Plan was established to provide you with a measure of financial security upon your retirement.
Effective May 29, 2001, the Plan’s name was changed to the Teamsters and Participating Employers of Ontario Pension Plan (the “Plan”) and references to the Motor Transport Industrial Relations Bureau of Ontario were removed because the Motor Transport Industrial Relations Bureau of Ontario ceased to exist.
